Watching a play last night with a set made of scaffolding I remembered my dear Aber friend Gordon, who helped us build the set for our touring production of Romeo and Juliet c1963. We shared a room in my flat for a while, and even did some comedy together in a sort of night club organised by Roland Rees.

Thank you for letting me watch Gordon's funeral online. It was a heartwarming and uplifting Service, a perfect tribute to a great teacher and a lovely man. It was wonderfully insightful and knowing he had such a rich and full life was pleasing to know. I only knew Gordon Brooks the teacher, he sensed I had problems at Roan , took me to one side and said " Is everything alright at home? " Those words gave me the reassurance I needed, that he was aware and had my back. For which I will be eternally grateful.
