Overflowing with humour and patience, Gordon (or Brooksie, as he will fondly be remembered by the thousands of students whose lives he touched) was the kind of teacher you always dreamed of having, and one of the finest people around. With time for absolutely everyone, and E ver ready with a handful of witty anecdotes, a mischievous sparkle in his eye, I’d like to think he’s even got St Peter in stitches.
